JCE have recently completed the design and manufacture of Ex pzc Search Light Power Supply Enclosures. These power supplies are for powering search lights on an offshore production facility, which form part of a security system for safeguarding against terrorist attacks. The primary type of explosion protection is by purging, complemented by other types of protection for the purge control system and air conditioning unit.

The units are fully IECEx compliant for operation in Zone 2 gas hazardous areas.

The Ex pzc cabinets can also be utilised for applications where the equipment generates a significant amount of heat. Typical applications include Variable Speed Drives, Transformers, Load Banks and other high temperature components.
